Unified Display Interface SIG
A Special Interest Group (SIG) is overseeing development of new digital standard specifications to replace the VGA analog interface. This planned new specification set - referred to as the Unified Display Interface - will enhance the competitiveness of UDI-compliant products by accommodating both DVI and HDMI requirements.
The UDI SIG has a founding group comprised of: Apple, Intel, LG, National Semiconductor, Samsung and Silicon Image, as well as more than 10 companies that have joined as contributing members. UDI membership continues to grow. Seeking even greater industry involvement, member companies are looking for other leaders and leading-edge companies to bring their expertise to the SIG.
You can help to define and validate what is likely to become the most strategically important set of specifications for interface uniformity in many years - the Unified Display Interface.
